Torii Gates

The Torii Gate is a traditional Japanese gate design, often found at the entrance to Shinto and sometimes Buddhist shrines. Representing the transition between the finite world and the infinite world of the gods, Torii Gates have special meaning to me as an artist.

My Torii Gate Collection pieces symbolize a transition between the corporeal, or tangible world, and the ethereal, or spiritual world. To me, they represent a spiritual portal and a desire to transcend the every day mundane. When coupled with a variety of stones, my Torii Gate pendants can serve as a reminder to you or the recipient of your gift that life is infintely wonderous and mysterious. I see a gateway as an opportunity for change and something new.
